Hiya, thanks for stopping by. Here’s a quick step by step of this weeks design team project. All product details can be found at the bottom of the page.
I began by stamping some Poinsettia onto patterned paper.
I also stamped them onto aqua patterned paper along with some Holly leaves.
I cut out all the pieces and layered them together with glue gel.
I picked out some ink colours that matched with my papers and began creating a circle topper with a layering stencil.
Next colour, next layer.
For the next layer I chose silver ink.
Because I wanted to stamp a sentiment in black I used black ink for the final layer to create balance.
I also inked the edges of the topper along with a sheet of patterned paper for my background.
*You may have noticed the mistake. This was just a lazy die cut! Rather than wasting it, I just took care to plan how the flowers would cover it.
All that was left to do was build up the card.
Here’s the final card. I’m really happy with the way this one turned out, I hope you like it too.
