Loved up….Christmas??

Hi guys, thanks for stopping by!

Here’s a little walkthrough of my latest Polkadoodles project, you can find all of the links at the bottom of the page.

For this weeks challenge, the Polkadoodles design team were given ‘engagement’ as a starting point. I chose the ‘Soft & Scrumptious’ paper pack because it has some lovely soft hearts and I wanted to see if I could give extra life to a Christmas stamp so I searched through my stash and found a cute gnome couple.

I stamped out the couple onto white card.

Next, I stamped out the couple again onto 4 sheets of the paper.

I cut out the pieces I needed for their outfits.

I coloured the noses and hair of each gnome using alcohol pens.

Then I glued the clothing pieces onto the coloured image but what about the holly on his hat?

I thought these little heart stamps were perfect to disguise the fact that it was a Christmas stamp. So I stamped a couple onto the same paper, cut them out and then carefully positioned them to cover the holly.

Then I decided on a card size and cut out some mats and layers. I also used a decorative edge die from my stash to create a ribbon of paper.

This is all of the layers finished but it needs a sentiment.

So I printed one and used alcohol pen to colour the centre.

Here’s the finished piece!

I also used the leftover pieces to create 2 extra cards.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project, if you’d like to create one for yourself here’s a list of the Polkadoodles items you need:
